How would you describe the world of this new Barrie campaign?
Functional and soft, authentic yet innovative — these are the words that come to mind when I saw, touched, and tried on the pieces. I think the images we created perfectly tell this shared story.
What does the Barrie x Mackintosh capsule collection evoke for you?
It conveys the full beauty of the Scottish landscape: a sublime light between heavy rain and a bright sky. It balances Scottish tradition, you can feel the hand and craft in the cashmere knitting, with innovation, especially in that unique coated cotton fabric.

What is your favorite piece?
The long cashmere-lined raincoat. I want to wear it day and night, almost like a dress. It’s chic and eye-catching, everything I love.
How do you feel when wearing a Barrie piece?
You can tell that a great deal of thought and craftsmanship went into its creation. It gives a sense of luxury while remaining truly functional.
Were there any particular details or finishes in the collection that surprised you?
I absolutely love the hand-painted porcelain buttons! They give each piece such a unique touch.

How do you incorporate cashmere pieces or timeless garments into your everyday wardrobe?
There’s nothing more comforting than a cashmere cardigan or a chunky sweater, even better when they’re layered. The beauty of a timeless piece is that it brings you memories and comfort, eventually becoming a garment full of meaning.
