Every month, Barrie invites a figure close to the brand to answer three questions: three adjectives to describe their style, three words that define Barrie, and three favourite spots from their list. And as a bonus: the bonus question!
This month, Hugo Dacquet (
@hugodacquet
), Parisian model and vintage curator with
@Principeto
, takes on the challenge.
3 adjectives to describe your style?
Refined, chic and nostalgic.
3 words to define Barrie
Undeniably chic, incredibly sweet and Scottish, of course!

3 favourite Parisian addresses to share?
Fringe ( @fringe_enfantsrouges ) in the Marais, right next to the Marché des Enfants Rouges. I love rummaging through their wide selection of prints. There’s a bit of everything: tiny prints, larger ones, landscapes, architecture, nudes… It’s the most wonderful place to treat yourself to some photos.
The Musée Bourdelle ( @museebourdelle ). A timeless, very peaceful place. It gives off that very special feeling of being in someone’s home. I love cultural venues that aren’t too sterile, the ones that are full of life.
Le Bon Georges (
@le_bon_georges
) is one of my favourite restaurants in Paris. I love booking a table there for special occasions! The chocolate mousse? A must-try!
The extra question:
How to wear cashmere in summer ?
Of course, cashmere is chic in winter. But for me, it’s even more so in summer. I wear it draped over my shoulders or tied around my waist during the day, and I slip it on as soon as the evening breeze picks up.
Today, for instance, I’m wearing
a long-sleeved summer cashmere polo
over one of my favorite cashmere Oxford shirts by Barrie, a piece I acquired several seasons ago.
