This week, Alice Roca (@alice_roca_) shares her recipe for shortbread, the crumbly Scottish biscuit, instantly recognisable by its signature fork-pricked pattern. She has designed and hand-painted a tartan wrapper and finished it with a cheerful ribbon, transforming this traditional Scottish treat into the perfect gift for a summer afternoon tea.
Alice is a chef and culinary creative who designs bespoke tablescapes, workshops and immersive dining experiences. Her work explores the art of hospitality and a deep appreciation for ingredients, an approach that lies at the heart of her first two books, À ma table and Réunir (published by Éditions First). Her next book, Gâteaux , will be published this autumn.
