The Thistle

29 January 2019

The thistle flower, Scotland’s emblem, has been worked in an interestingly offbeat way. Associated with the Barrie signature in a seventies-style font in tones of pink, navy blue and white, for 2019 it becomes a Hawaiian motif. Mixed with the cerastium, a carnation flower typical of the Shetland Islands, it features as a jacquard and evokes the wallpapers of old English.
