Australian Trunk Shows

18 April 2019

In celebration of the launch of the Spring Summer 2019 collection, Barrie hosted a pair of trunk shows across both Sydney and Melbourne.

In partnership with Vogue Australia, and in support of the Australian Ballet, Barrie took over a private residence in Melbourne’s Toorak on March 28 where guests were able to explore the new collection.

On April 3, a trunk show was also organized in a private residence in Point Piper, which overlooked Sydney Harbour.

At the Sydney trunk show, Vogue Australia editor-in-chief and chair of the Australian Ballet Foundation Board, Edwina McCann, was joined on stage to talk all things Barrie by co-hosts and Ballet ambassador co-chairs, Georgie Curran and Adene Paykel. In Melbourne, she was joined by co-hosts and ambassador co-chairs, Nina Aberdeen and Prue Brown.

Throughout the course of each of the events, the feminine, yet sophisticated collection of cashmere looks, which are designed in Paris but made in Scotland’s Hawick, were available for purchase in Australia for the very first time. On top of that, a percentage of the profits from the sales made were donated directly to the Australian Ballet Foundation, in support of The Australian Ballet.
