A historic manufacturer of premium cashmere, established in the Scottish Borders in 1903, Barrie Knitwear is renowned for its outstanding traditional expertise.
Supplier to the most prestigious fashion houses, including Chanel, which acquired the company in 2012, the legendary mill launches its fifth signature collection for the Fall-Winter 2016-2017 season.
Barrie presents its Fall-Winter 2016 collection, deep in the spectacular landscapes of Scotland, birthplace of the brand. Photographs signed by the Greek artist Evangelia Kranioti, winner of the Photography in Hyères in April 2015. Spotted by Barrie, she has carte blanche to illustrate her vision of the brand. After a first series of photographs in the south of Scotland, the photographer pursues her discovery of Gaelic panoramas and takes us along to the Isle of Skye, north of the country. Between the wild landscapes swept by the wind, the lochs and the rivers, Evangelia Kranioti reveals an enigmatic and ever glorious Scotland, with the Barrie Fall-Winter 2016 collection as the red Thread.
