A companion collection for all moments, whether walking the windy moors or relaxing by the fire with a favourite book during the long winter months.

For Augustin Dol-Maillot, Barrie’s artistic director, inspiration comes from the association of unique shades and stitches displayed by the house’s manufacture, as well as from the unique spirit of Scotland. This season sees playful colour combinations as well as light-hearted references to the feel of a classic country house weekend and its ideal wardrobe, with timeless garments perfectly suited to both work and play.
No Scottish expedition is without its tartan, and Barrie’s seasonal version features an intricate mix of shades in unique colourways, worked in feminine shapes including a zipped polo neck sweater and matching legging. The classic Thistle League cardigan and sweater also get the tartan treatment this season.
Nature brings its essential influences: autumn’s garden flowers sparkle with a touch of gold, while graphic unicorns and butterflies float across diamond knits in powerful, vibrant shades.

The iconic Scottish thistle chooses a generous format the cosy Beequilt theme and its two cardigan shapes, designed to be worn as outerwear, while a vibrant floral bouquet blooms across a classic sweater, featuring a touch of glitter with a new Barrie “signature” detail.
Summer’s Chevron motif adapts for the new season with a heavier gauge for a cardigan and trouser set in red, green and taupe, plus a generous overcoat ideal for a country walk.
Lighter gauges play with the delicate patters of printed roses for a button-necked top in a delicate waffle stitch, while abstract flower shapes – inspired by Art Deco stained glass – sparkle across a modern take on the twinset.
Indoors, the library is a central source of inspiration, as letters spell out the Barrie name across a visual patchwork of shades. The covers of much-loved volumes provide a series of new patches for the classic white t-shirt, while the new Five Needles range with its ornate button detail provides the perfect set for a luxurious book club outfit.
The enduring Barrie lines – Clear Cut, Borders and Denim – offer charming updates including a romper suit and dungarees, with new propositions fitting the seasonal colour palette.

Accessories play along with the idea of indoors and outdoors, whether through warming beanie hats, scarves and mittens in the seasonal colours or a new Five Needles “beguin” hat with a button strap. Barrie’s roses and flowers bloom across hats and mittens as on a pair of knitted carpet slippers.
